PROBLEMS/CHALLENGES:

Lack of adequate finance for working capital

Lack of external market for the art products

Need to participate in trade shows and exhibitions both locally and overseas

Need to have Front-Shops in large towns and tourist centers

Cost of quality raw material prohibitive

Need to recruit and train bigger number of members

GROUP URGENT NEEDS:

[a] Own premises for workshop, training and office use

[b] Provision of computers and Internet access

[c] Access to overseas markets

[d] Provision of working capital and purchase of raw materials

SUMMARY

During the period in which the project has been in operation, it’s

been clear that many more members could be recruited and trained

if only adequate financial assistance to procure premises and

acquire enough raw materials is available. External market is also desirable so

as to export as many art items as possible, thereby increasing the existing

income for members. Assistance in the Group participation in Trade Shows and Exhibitions, both local and overseas is also needed.
